"Great all round campsite" (Trip Advisor Review - March 2017)
Great location, fabulous views, very friendly campsite staff and the added bonus of an onsite kitchen area with fridges sinks etc. Toilets and showers A* Will most definitely visit again when in the area.

Great family feeling the family that owns it are so fantastic the grandad Ken is amazing and to say he 87 he is truly a bag of laughs when it says family run it truly is the reception is in the living room and it's so amazing from the fire pit hire and little shop they have, but they have great idea that they have a fridge and freezer for people to use and microwave in wash area plus hair dryer and toilets and showers was spot less and never out of toilet paper will be definitely be back amazing place loved it xx
"Perfect" (Trip Advisor Review November 2017)
We recently visited Catgill and were met with some astounding views of the Yorkshire countryside that instantly allowed us to relax and get into the camping mood! We were met by the owner who was extremely welcoming and truly loved the outdoors. The washroom and kitchen facilities were better than those in some high end hotels. We look forward to visiting again soon! Thank you for a wonderful outdoor experience!

Just returned from a fantastic 2 night stay here. We were blessed with amazing sunshine which always helps, but the site has the most stunning views regardless. It accommodated our group of 5 families with a warm welcome and a nice relaxed vibe . The walk over to Billy Bobs diner for breakfast is a must and obviously all the attractions of Bolton Abbey are close by. Shower blocks and kitchen area were great. It was a busy weekend and i didnt queue for either. It's a 'turn up and pitch' arrangement which i felt i bit dubious about, but the owner set cones out to ensure we had a generous area for our group. A tiny thing that might be improved is a designated area for vehicles. The area around our tent became a bit of a car park for surrounding pitches, resulting in a fair few slamming doors on our first eve. I would absolutely return here though. It's a delight. Thank you Catgill.
"Weekends Stay" (Trip Advisor Review May 2017)
Beautiful setting and really well set up site. Stayed with wife and 2 kids age 6 and 9 and had a great weekend. Really clean toilets/showers/washing up room, special mention to Olivers grandad for being so helpful. Will definitely visit again.
Facebook Review July 2016
I visited the camp with my friend, her daughter and my niece for a two day weekend break. Apart from the rain I had a great time at Catgill Camp Site. The location was perfect situated close to Bolton Abbey and a 10 minute drive from Skipton town and castle. The surrounding countryside was picturesque and great little drive. The facilities were great with toilets, showers, kitchen with a microwave and kettle. All clean and nicely kept. The the family were warm and accomodating upon arrival and helpful throughout our stay. The elderly father of the family was a character and a really nice charming man. The son was friendly and helpful with advise on local attractions and places to eat. You can hire a fire pit with wood for £17 for the entire weekend. Extra wood is £6. Barbecues and music is fine but you need to tone it down after 10pm so it's probably better for a chilled, relaxed weekend rather than a crazy drunken one. Head to Skipton if your barbecue gets rained off The Black Horse is a great pub on Skipton High Street with proper pub meals at an affordable price. The food was tasty and well presented. The pubs around the area are pretty expensive otherwise. Fish and chips is roughly £15 at other restaurants. Meals in the Black Horse are roughly £7 each. McDonald's is also nearby for those lazy breakfasts.

Great spot, really close to Bolton Abbey. Facilities were clean, well maintained and the staff were really helpful. The little coffee hut was a really nice addition. Will definitely visit again!
UK Campsite Review
I don't usually bother writing reviews but, after spending the last three nights at Catgill Camp Site, I was so impressed I just had to do so. My partner and I and our two kids arrived on Tuesday afternoon. We were warmly welcomed by the owners who were so helpful in telling us where all the facilities were and bringing us a fire pit and logs (small hire charge) The site is so peaceful with outstanding views. There's lots to do here all within walking distance - even with small children with small legs. I can't find any fault with this place and will definitely be back as soon as possible to create more happy memories(Please don't dismiss my ratings as unrealistic - this place is stunning in every way!)
The Coleman family.
Catgill Campsite located in the heavenly hills of the Yorkshire Dales. What a pleasure to experience high-end facilities, no effort spared on the ablution and wash up facilities. The view is unreal, green that actually hurt the eyes when the sun is out. Even though it was a rainy weekend there is so much to do in the area that the rain was not an issue at all. We would definitely return to do a bit more exploring. This is truly a campsite that takes you away from it all.

Excellent campsite first weekend open all good facilities, close to various attractions, Harrogate 18 miles away. Only the weather a spoiler but when a few of you didn’t make a difference. Would recommend and return.

Fantastic campsite with excellent shower, toilet and washing up facilities. Very enthusiastic owners with great ideas and vision. Lovely views and very close to local attractions, towns etc. Bolton Abbey within walking distance. Would definitely recommend and will return for sure. Five stars!.

Campsites are simple things. A field, some toilets and a standpipe at it’s most basic. Some places, however, go the extra steps to make weekends memorable. The latter can be said of Catgill campsite. From the warm welcome on arrival to the arranging the beautiful weather on the day we left, the owners really went out of their way to make our weekend. Joking aside; as seasoned campers, we totally recommend this place. Set in amazing countryside with stunning views from the camping field, this place has everything you’d need for a perfect weekend. The fire pits to hire are a brilliant touch. The environs have loads to offer for all the family, plus some incredible restaurants if you fancied a more sophisticated evening. It’s worth checking out the Farm Shop in Crackoe, which although it a bit of a drive is worth the journey. We’re definitely going back and urge you to try this place too.
Lovely views, quiet site with good facilites. Near Hesketh farm, Bolton Abbey and the Yorkshire Dales ice cream farm so great for children. Once checked in we didn't see anyone working there but knew they were there. We'll definitely be going back. I stayed here with my children (2 and 4) for one night.
